TypeWell Moving Forward

We founded TypeWell 12 years ago, and its steady growth since then has pleased and amazed us.  TypeWell has come much further than we thought possible way back then.  Thanks to all of you for making it such a success!

For several years now, we have been planning for how best to continue TypeWell when the time comes for us to move on to other things.  Who would be a leader for the future, able to both embrace modern goals, and yet preserve the heart of TypeWell?  It would have to be someone with fresh energy and enthusiasm and ideas, yet also with respect for the traditional values of quality service that make TypeWell so special.

Three years ago, we found our answer.  We've spent the three years since then preparing every aspect of TypeWell, step by step, for the new era.

Today, it is with much happiness that we announce that Kate Ervin will be taking over the operation of TypeWell, and we will be moving to supporting roles.

Many of you have met or worked with Kate, who has been a transcriber for more than 7 years, and one of our TypeWell teachers since early 2009.  Over the last 3 years, Kate has taken on many roles and responsibilities within the TypeWell business.  Over that time we've grown increasingly pleased and impressed with her deep knowledge of transcribing, her business acumen, her internet savvy, her calm problem-solving, and most critically, her commitment to the quality of TypeWell services.  Kate is all that we hoped for in the person to carry on our TypeWell work: a satisfying blend of the old and new.  Under her direction, TypeWell will address today's needs in speech-to-text services, while continuing to be guided by TypeWell's founding values.

This change in TypeWell leadership, effective November 1, 2011, is a major milestone for TypeWell.  But we still have the same goals.  We are moving to the background to work on some near-future product development, while Kate is moving to the foreground, but the fundamentals of TypeWell prices, procedures, and policies will remain the same.

Thank you for the support and friendship you have given to us over the years.  We know you will welcome Kate and extend that same support and friendship to her.
