A trained transcriber uses the TypeWell software to provide real-time communication access and notes.  Providing communication access service typically involves two computers.  The transcriber's computer uses the Transcriber version of the software, and the student's computer uses the Reader version of the software.

Configurations and Purchasing

One TypeWell software license must be purchased for each computer running TypeWell software.  Most transcribers need only the Standard Software Duo, which is a package that includes a Transcriber license for the transcriber's computer and a Reader license for the reader's computer.

Note: upgrading from V4 Standard to V5 Premium is two separate upgrades: first from V4 Standard to V5 Standard, then from V5 Standard to V5 Premium.

 

Placing an Order

TypeWell software licenses can only be purchased for use by trained TypeWell transcribers.  If you are a trained TypeWell transcriber, or if you employ a trained transcriber, order by sending us an email at order@typewellDELETEThisPart.com with the following information:

• Name of the site or person purchasing the software.
   
• How many licenses are to be purchased, of each type:

  • (Note that training licenses are not available for purchase here.  Training licenses are purchased during the registration process for a specific trainee.)

When we receive your order email, we'll confirm the active status of the transcriber(s) who will use the software, and will then email instructions to you for payment of the software licenses you have ordered.
